Overview
The Cossacks of Zaporizhzhia, captured by the Turks, dream of escaping from captivity. Rumors of this reach the sultan. He disguises himself and quietly enters the Cossack settlement, where he is met by Ivan Karas. The sultan invites Ivan to the palace.
