Overview
In 1993, Sophie, a young French diplomat, disembarked from the military plane that brought her to Sarajevo. She is taken in charge by an officer of the blue helmets: the commander Michel Mercier. The day after her arrival, as she exited a school, a sniper shot children in front of the peacekeepers, who had orders not to shoot back. The wounded children were taken to hospital.
