Born on the small Malaysian island of Penang, she spent her childhood in a kampung house with her grandparents, while her parents worked hard to make ends meet. Like many who stumble upon filmmaking, her journey began with photography — a gateway that eventually led her behind the camera as a director.

Her films explore the quiet, intimate lives of everyday people, capturing subtle moments that quietly unfold into deep emotion.
