Biography

Laura Schmitt is a film and theater actress, writer, and director based in Southern Utah. With a background in independent productions and a gift for emotionally grounded storytelling, she brings sensitivity and presence to every role. Her creative work spans acting, writing, and directing—most notably earning Best Micro Short at the Kanab Film Festival for her directorial debut.

In addition to her artistic pursuits, Laura is a dedicated energy worker—a practice that deepens her connection to character, intuition, and story. Her work in holistic healing enhances her creative process, allowing her to approach filmmaking with clarity, empathy, and a grounded sense of purpose.
